Depression is a type of mental illness that causes a person to feel sad, hopeless, and empty inside. It is the most common mental illnesses worldwide.

For people with depression, it can be a debilitating experience. But in the modern world, many effective treatments are available to help you and manage depression symptoms. From medication to therapy, depression counselling and even online counselling.

If you feel depressed or have any major symptoms then you should consult a Psychologist as soon as possible. And if you can figure out that something is not good with your emotional or mental health then you should help yourself to get and stay motivated.

Lack of motivation in a person is also a symptom of depression, and it can be caused by multiple reasons. For instance, someone may feel demotivated when coping with a difficult situation in his or her life or some bad experience may be affecting their self-confidence.

If depression is the reason behind the feeling of demotivation, you can relate the level of motivation directly to depression feeling. If you are feeling a lack of motivation or there is a loved one who is going through this situation because of depression, then you should help yourself or loved one to improve the situation.

You can start by setting small and manageable goals. If you do not like the thought of doing anything big, then start with small goals. The time you start meeting these goals, start adding more after them until you finally achieve all your goals.

It may seem tough initially, but determination will help in growing sense of motivation, and over time you will find it easier to get up and do things.
